Facilities Planner plans building or refurbishment projects focused on effectively utilizing spaces and resources to support the organization's physical facility and space needs. Conducts evaluations of current facilities to assess short-term and long-term space needs and produce feasibility studies. Being a Facilities Planner prepares and reviews designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Facilities Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Make adjustments to Master Schedule as directed. Schedules orders for purchasing and production according to Senior Planner. Collaborates with team members or department supervisors to resolve constraints or delays of assigned products or components. Works with Purchasing Team to ensure material and outside service requirements are met, Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions or constraints. Communicates updated availability information to Sales and other stakeholder groups. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and/or GED required. 2-3 years of administration in a manufacturing environment AS degree and 5 years of combination of experience preferred, Experience in packing, kitting, industrial products, or machined assemblies a plus. Knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma. Excellent communication and report writing skills; attention to detail. Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment. Proficiency in ERP Systems, MS Office and Outlook. Physical Demands: No restrictions on wearing required PPE for area, including safety eyewear and steel toed shoes.
