Facilities Planner plans building or refurbishment projects focused on effectively utilizing spaces and resources to support the organization's physical facility and space needs. Conducts evaluations of current facilities to assess short-term and long-term space needs and produce feasibility studies. Being a Facilities Planner prepares and reviews designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Facilities Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Our client is currently looking for a Production Planner. This is a permanent opportunity, meaning you are hired as permanent employee from start.
Responsibilities
Creates and maintains the production schedule
Track and generate work orders, handle changes as needed
Work with both the engineering and production teams to stay ahead of issues
Work with purchasing and inventory teams to make sure you have enough materials for the work orders
Interacts with customers to provide project status and timelines
Utilize MRP / ERP system to track inventory and work orders
Experience
Minimum of 5-years’ experience working with production scheduling and inventory planning, within a manufacturing company
Minimum of 2-years’ experience working with MRP / ERP systems
Minimum of a completed High School degree or GED, college degree preferred
Excellent documentation skills
Attention to detail, organized, excellent time management
Computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, walk, and / or stand for long periods of time within a production environment
Ability to lift to 20 pounds
