FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of maintenance employees (Maintenance Techs, Cosmetic Techs, Painters, Life Safety Techs) who operate and maintain the hospital and support buildings. This includes all equipment listed on the Master Inventory Listing. Conducts building inspections and takes corrective action to ensure problems and deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner. Performs other duties assigned by the Director of Facilities Management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
Job Requirements:
Requires high school diploma and completion of a vocational program in HVAC or related field. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
Requires a minimum of five year of prior experience in Building Operations.
Job Knowledge:
Requires a thorough knowledge of basic electronics, physics and mathematics and considerable knowledge of applications to HVAC and systems maintenance. Also requires drafting computer, specification writing, communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.

$57,000 - $90,000
