FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     ACME Mid-Atlantic Distribution Center, a division of the Albertsons Companies, is currently searching for a Facility Maintenance & Refrigeration Supervisor to join our team.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Experience with distribution warehouse maintenance and refrigeration or related field in a union environment.
    • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on facility, life safety, grounds, refrigeration, and material handling equipment.
    • Coordinate and work with operations group to maintain operational readiness, reliability, and uptime on all equipment.
    • Schedules contractors, maintain schedules, project plans and timelines.
    • Ensure preventative maintenance procedures and repairs are effective and performed on a timely basis.
    • Recognize and address potential issues as needed.
    • Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order process and verifies work order completion. Analytical ability to utilize data within the CMMS to identify reoccurring failures and mean time between component failure.
    • Comply and follow all Federal, State, Local, Industry, and company policies, ordinances, standards, and procedures such as HACCP, PSM/RMP, use of Personal Protective Equipment, Fall Protection, Lock out/Tag out, FM Global standards, Arc Flash, and Hot Work Permits.
    • Support Risk Control Department and initiatives in maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
    • Learn and support all functions of the maintenance department.
    • Attend and/or conduct monthly safety meeting.
    • Mentor associates to foster a team environment.
    • Motivated and self-directed to complete workload assigned in a timely manner.

    Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • High school diploma or GED. College or trade school degree desirable.
    • Ammonia refrigeration (RETA CARO or CIRO certification) and HAZWOPPER experience preferred but not required.
    • Five years in industrial maintenance preferred with strong technical aptitude in one or more of the following areas; material handling equipment, electrical 480VAC, PLC inputs/outputs, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, conveyors, and fire protection.
    • Two years of supervisory experience in industrial maintenance.
    • Experience with CMMS programs to document and schedule maintenance tasks and manage inventories.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; able to learn other software programs, as necessary.
    • Analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities. Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.
    • Good leadership skills and the ability to supervise others with good time management skills. Must be able to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
    • Good communication skills both verbal and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over two-way radios.

    PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

    • This position requires walking, climbing steps, climbing ladders, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs.
    • Withstand long periods kneeling, squatting, bending, hot and refrigerated environments, and exposure to noise.
    • Able to work in a 24/7 faced paced operation. Work weekends and evenings when necessary.
