The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Position:
You will start full-time as a maintenance technician, which is a crucial role for our company and the customer. You will report to the Company’s Operations Manager. Your primary duties will be to provide general building maintenance, preventive maintenance, and general service and repairs for the complex as described in the building agreement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Demonstrate safe work practices and perform tasks according to the Safety Program.
· Performs maintenance and repairs to the facility's Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems to keep them up to applicable standards, including changing light bulbs and ballasts.
· Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, including AHUs, Pumps, Cooling towers, HVAC split systems, and various other pieces of mechanical equipment.
· Performed inventory of equipment and materials related to mechanical operations and maintenance.
· Worked with the Servicon service department on multiple service, repair, and installation projects.
· Worked with BAS and EMS programs to ensure proper functionality of building mechanical equipment.
· Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to perform work and procure materials.
· Communicated with the HQ office and completed work orders based on frequencies and descriptions of services.
· Order maintenance supplies and adhere to budget.
Preferred Education, Experience
License(s) or certification(s) preferred:A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance are required. The position requires individuals to furnish their own reliable transportation to fulfill all of the job functions.
