Description

This position will have the opportunity to travel through the Commonwealth and meet and interact with many staff from each agency/department within the cabinet. Every day is a new task. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervises temporary employees on the move crew.
• Facilitates and tracks move projects for the Cabinet.
• Ensures requests for relocation of equipment, furnishing, archives, e-scrap and surplus property are completed for the Cabinet.
• Configures office space based on design/plans and records/updates floor plans.
• Monitors inventory of items/tools and ensures fleet vehicles are maintained/serviced regularly.
• May physically move or lift equipment/items up to 100 lbs. or more.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Lift up to 100lbs
• Power & Hand Tool Knowledge & Experience
• Dolly Operator
• Ability to Travel - some overnight stay may be required
• Basic Microsoft Office Skills
• Must have valid driver’s license – drives moving truck up to 26,000 GVWR
• Team player

Minimum Requirements

Working Conditions

Will be on call 24 hours a day. Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires the following of safety procedures.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
