Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated individual with a great attitude who enjoy working outdoors, possesses a wide variety of Landscaping and athletic fields maintenance skills, supervisory and crew experience. You will perform a wide variety of landscape maintenance duties at a prestige School in Nashville (Green Hills area).
Compensation
$27 per hour plus Benefits
Regular hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (flexible)
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and self- performing groundskeeping, irrigation and Turf maintenance on all aspects of Harpeth Hall’s landscaping and athletic fields (including synthetic field).
- Assist Facility Manager in the supervision, coordination and scheduling of Groundskeeping Staff.
- Prepare sports fields for practices and game events, including cutting, line striping, dragging softball infield, and making sure the venue is ready for guests.
- Duties including, but not limited to planting, seeding, fencing, mowing, trimming, weed eating, pest control, cleaning grounds, stairwells, walkways, paved areas of snow, litter and debris, carpentry and painting.
- May use small tractors; perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment used.
- Assisting events (mandatory scheduled overtime)
- Weekend On-Call duties will continue to be distributed among the Maintenance Team
- Specific job responsibilities and hours worked are flexible and will be based on the needs of Harpeth Hall and further understanding of the facility team responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of operating commercial lawn care equipment and turf maintenance
- Flexibility to accommodate work schedule based on customer needs
- Able to work both indoors and outdoors and requires long periods of movement and activity.
- Employment typically requires some: climbing, reaching, standing, walking, and work in noisy environments.
- Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory criminal background screening results. Fingerprints appointment will be scheduled prior to start day.
