As a nationally accredited program with strong educational component in The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) investigates any death occurring across the state of New Mexico that is sudden, violent, untimely, unexpected or where a person is found dead and the cause of death is unknown. The OMI, which is a special program within the Department of Pathology, determines the cause and manner of death in these cases, and provides formal death certification.
OMI is currently looking for a Facility Operations Manager. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with working with multiple contractors in a complex healthcare setting including autopsy suite. OMI is looking for someone that is self directed and can maintain complex yearly maintenance items for various building systems. OMI has a fleet of vehicles and this person would oversee the maintenance of those vehicles. Our ideal candidate will have experience with capital improvement processes.
Hours would vary based on needs. On-call status would be required during certain times. We are a 24/7 facility.
