Who You Are…
As Director of IT Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s information technology (IT) operations. This person reports directly to the VP of Technology and will play a critical role in shaping the company’s IT and system strategy, ensuring efficient IT operations, and safeguarding the integrity and security of our systems.
This Position…
Some examples of the work you might do includes:
- Collaborates with Technology Leadership to define the IT Operations vision, goals, and strategies aligned with overall business and IT department objectives.
- Oversees day-to-day activities of the IT Operations, including infrastructure management, network administration, security and user support.
- Implements and monitors KPI’s for the Limbach helpdesk
- Ensures smooth functioning of IT systems, applications, and services, as well as serves as escalation point to all branches with hands-on troubleshooting as needed.
- Establishes and enforces IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manages execution of all IT audits to assess security, compliance, and risk management both internally and with external auditors.
- Manages IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and equipment optimizing utilization & performance.
- Works with IT Leadership to develop and manage the IT budget.
- Manages vendors to monitor expenses, negotiates vendor contracts, and identifies cost-saving opportunities and evaluates service quality.
- Serves as a bridge between IT and other business units.
- Facilitates communication and collaboration across departments.
- Works with CISO to lead security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Handles escalated technical issues and provides timely resolutions.
- Fosters a customer-centric approach within the IT team.
What You Need…
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience (typically 8 years) in IT leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure administration experience
- Google Workspace
- Knowledge of hardware, including networking and printers
- Zendesk
- Azure, Security certifications preferred
- Managing distributed users from central location

- This position operates in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, printers, and scanners.
