Residential Youth Care Worker (Full-time)

  • Raintree Children & Family Services is currently seeking Direct Care/ Residential Youth Workers for our teen girls' group home.

    Ideal candidates should:

    ➢ Have a passion for working with teen girls.

    ➢ Be a strong, caring, and reliable person seeking meaningful work.

    ➢ Be willing to help us make a positive impact in an adolescent girl’s life.

    Available openings: Full-time (40 hours weekly)

    • Evenings weekends (rotating); 3pm-11pm

    Primary duties include:

    • Responsibly caring for, monitoring, and positively engaging with residents.
    • Working cooperatively with staff to maintain the operation of the agency group home and supervising program participants.
    • Assists residents with independent living plan, performance goals, daily living, coordination and completing household duties, to include cleaning of house, preparation of meals, reporting maintenance needs, etc.
    • Transporting program participants when needed.
    • Supervising teens. Ensuring safety and security of group home residents to try and prevent runaways, sex trafficking, and other detrimental behaviors.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Candidate must have High school diploma or GED.
    • Over 2 years of verified work experience, preferably working with youth.
    • Possess a valid driver's license (without blemish in past 3yrs) and have reliable transportation.
    • Must be able to successfully pass state, local & federal criminal background, MVR check, drug screening, etc.
    • Three valid employment references required.
    • Must be over 21 years of age.

    SKILLS Needed

    • Life Skills Coaching and Mentoring teens
    • Behavior Management, Crisis Intervention, and De-escalation
    • Incident Reporting
    • Ability to drive Van/SUV for resident transport
    • Supervising Teen residents
