Feed Mill Receiving Technician

REPORTS TO: Feed Mill Supervisor & Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The person in this position is responsible for unloading incoming trucks and keeping back dock and other area clean as required.

• Unloading an Loading all incoming trucks, railcars, and some bag ingredient trucks.
• Keep back dock area clean and other areas if needed
• Grease and oil equipment
• Daily inventory of ingredient bins
• Dumping bag ingredients into micro bins as needed
• Will be required to use a sledge hammer
• Must be able to climb stairs, walk on rough ground and concrete
• Must not be afraid of heights
• Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and reach
• Will be exposed to varying temperatures and humidity
• Must obey all USDA, HACCP and PLANT rules and regulations including safety.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Physical demands: Standing, walking, lifting
• Dependability a must
• Able to bend and lift objects
• Able to read English
• Take responsibility for work area and equipment
• Must be flexible & able to work other shifts ( if needed)
• Ability to work in team environment
• Must be able to pass drug, alcohol and basic screening
• Must be able to pass the state issued weigh master license and grain inspector license.
• Must be able to pass the required rail safe courses to acquire locomotive license.
• Must be able to acquire company fork lift license

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have some computer skills
