Position Available: Lab Technician - Temporary

Department: Lab

The ND Mill is seeking a lab technician to provide support and quality assurance in all areas of the lab. This is a temporary position for up to 5 months.

Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm, M-F

Rate of Pay: $19.50 / hour.

Duties and Responsibilities

Grain grading

Physical testing of protein, moisture, ash, and falling number

Data entry on computer

Operate Various lab equipment.

Properly maintain, clean, and disinfect lab equipment.

Assist and support other Lab Technicians

Must be able to work both as a team and independently.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Understanding of Basic Math, Chemistry, and Biology

Computer Skills (Windows)

Following lab procedures, managing time and lab tests.

An understanding of Lab and Plant Safety

No wheat or flour allergies

Standing for long periods of time in a laboratory

Education and/or training:

Previous laboratory experience preferred but not required.

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
