    This is a DIRECT hire opportunity, NOT a Contractual role.

    Job Description

    • Provide technical instruction and assistance both over the phone and in person to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of railroad equipment installed at customer sites.
    • Perform on-site installation and maintenance of railroad signaling equipment and systems including equipment initialization, calibration, setup, verification, and repair.
    • Troubleshoot railroad signaling systems using a broad base understanding of railroad signaling products and engineering principles.
    • Respond to requests for emergency troubleshooting and issue resolution needs for railroad customers.
    • Maintain knowledge of applicable product line warranties and bulletins and effectively advise customers regarding the same.
    • Plan, prepare and/or execute both internal and external training programs as required to impart and perpetuate field service engineering and/or product knowledge.
    • Develop and further expand technical knowledge and expertise on railroad signaling equipment and engineering principles.
    • Perform administrative functions such as: write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare status and trip reports, book travel arrangements, ship material, track time allocation, manage expense accounts, and organize group networks and tools.
    • Operate call systems used for tracking customer calls and record pertinent information efficiently and thoroughly.
    • Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
    • Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical and safety requirements within all customer safety standards.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 4 years of experience in a related role
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
    • Ability and willingness to maintain a valid driver's license.
