Field Service Engineer provides on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment. Being a Field Service Engineer identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Orders and replaces parts as needed. Additionally, Field Service Engineer develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities. Answers basic customer questions about product features. May provide some customer training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Service Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The Huron County Engineer’s Office is accepting applications for the full-time position of Highway Worker 2.
Rate of pay will be $23.47 after a 180 day probationary period.
Highway Worker 2 will be responsible for maintaining and repairing county highway roads and bridges. Position involves usually routine work in the operation of vehicles and/or construction equipment. Responsible for the careful and safe operation of a variety of motorized equipment. This may require being on call 24 hours a day.
Qualifications for the position are completion of secondary education or equivalent and one (1) year of experience working in general construction; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicant must possess a valid State of Ohio Class A or B CDL and maintain insurability under the Engineer’s insurance policy.
Potential candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
