Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Finance & Insurance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Finance & Insurance Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Commercial Insurance Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Learning and understanding company insurance products.
- Learning and understanding carrier appetites, products, coverages, and underwriting requirements.
- Answering calls and responding to customer requests. Such as COI', endorsements, coverage changes, payment issues, finance company questions.
- Accessing customer accounts and policy schedules.
- Providing customers with detailed information about policies and products.
- Forwarding customers to sales agents when a policy needs to be initiated.
Insurance Customer Service Representative Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have 3 years Commercial Insurance experience.
- Texas Insurance License
- In-depth knowledge of Commercial insurance products and policy schedules.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of insurance related technology
- Experience utilizing an agency management software and CRM.
- Advanced knowledge of telephone and call forwarding systems.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to explain detailed policy concepts in a simple way.
