Explains offerings and recommends products to meet the needs of the client. Being a Finance & Insurance Manager negotiates contract terms and rates to meet the goals of the organization. Ensures applications and paperwork are completed correctly and in a timely manner. Additionally, Finance & Insurance Manager may Require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Finance & Insurance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Finance & Insurance Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Essential Job Functions and Skills of the F&I Manager are as follows:- Working directly with customers to explain and recommend financing options, extended warranties, aftermarket products and other options
- Finding competitive rates to encourage customers to purchase vehicles
- Processing applications for vehicle financing and helping customers get approved
- Verifying that all paperwork is completed correctly and filed properly
- Manages contracts in transit and ensures funding with constant communication with business office
- Maintaining strong relationships with lending institutions to have lots of program options and competitive rates
- Seeking out new programs that benefit customers and encourage them to buy
- Ensuring compliance by following all local, state and federal regulations
- Training the sales team on available financing and programs to ensure they promote them to customers
- People person with positive attitude
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work through objections in a positive way
- Great on the phone and ability to communicate well through text and email
- Not afraid to work through difficult deals with customers and lenders
Qualifications:- Proven track record with a minimum 2 years F&I experience
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Compensation and Benefits: Commensurate to skills and experience- Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
