Finance Manager manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Ensures all financial operations are in compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Being a Finance Manager forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company. Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced. Additionally, Finance Manager oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets. Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company, engaging with outside consultants if applicable. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager or director. The Finance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Finance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the business office, including: maintenance of the records of patients, scheduling of patients, accounts receivable, maintaining appearance and order of dental office, presentation of financial treatment plan options, and recall/recare system.

Answer phone through out day
Treatment Plan Estimates
Check out patients
Collect funds
Add insurance checks/EOBs on patients accounts as they come in
Submit insurance claims/preauths
Validate insurance claims
Monitor messages/missed calls/faxes
Send patient statements when needed
Make sure all Patients are walked out and submitted
Case presentations as necessary
Estimates
Input insurance checks
Update claim list
Schedule patients for appointments
Confirm upcoming appointments at least 48 hours in advance
Coordinate Lab cases with assistants
Keep adequate copies of new pt info and updates
Run End of Day Report
