Finance Manager manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Ensures all financial operations are in compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Being a Finance Manager forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company. Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced. Additionally, Finance Manager oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets. Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company, engaging with outside consultants if applicable. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager or director. The Finance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Finance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Overview

    Reporting to the Director of Finance and Accounting, the Finance Manager is a key financial leader in the organization managing a team responsible for three key areas: Credit/Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Tax.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance and direction for day-to-day requirements to ensure critical deadlines are met, transactions are properly reflected in the financial statements, and key metrics are achieved.
    • Provide guidance and direction to the Digital Transformation Initiative and ERP Implementation for key areas.
    • Develop, maintain, and monitor compliance with Rain Bird policies and procedures related to credit/AR and AP, including record retention.
    • Monitor and implement procedures and policies to maintain compliance with tax regulations, including, but not limited to Federal, State, Property, and Sales and Use.
    • Monitor and implement procedures to maintain compliance with PCI/DSS
    • Implement corrective actions to internal and external audit control findings.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    This is a hybrid role, the ideal candidate will come to the office at least 3 days per week. 

    Qualifications

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BA or BS degree
    • 10 progressive experience, including management.
    • Ability to identify, hire, train, and develop talent.
    • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and effect change.
    • Strong PC skills

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • MBA or Master’s Degree
