General Manager Job Description

General Manager is needed for a growing, well-established transportation company. RKA Transportation is seeking a General Manager with a “can do” attitude to join this fast-paced team.

Responsibilities:

· Day to day operations

· Interact with customers on the phone and in person

· Manage and monitor sales and be accountable for exceeding expectations on client accounts and demonstrating a genuine interest in the client's wellbeing

· Fiscal Knowledge of transport methods, costs, and benefits

· Overseeing all aspects of profitability and customer satisfaction

· Provide direction and coordination of cost effective, efficient, and reliable transportation services

· Safety, Compliance, & DOT

· Meeting Monthly Revenue & Profit Projections

· Controlling operational costs (P&L Management)

· Working with vendors and contractors to expedite customer value and services.

· Maintain communications with stakeholders

Experience:

· 5 years General Manager experience in logistics with proven track record of success

· 3 years transportation experience

· Excellent leadership and communication skills – able to motivate and inspire others

· Analytical thinking skills

· Ability to work well with others

· Complex problem-solving skills

· Good attention to detail

From $70,000.00 per year
