    The Office of Financial Aid is seeking an Assistant Director (AD) of Financial Aid to support the department in all facets of aid administration and play a significant role in communicating with students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis. The AD for Processing is responsible for planning and organizing the operations of the financial aid office. Their focus is making sure systems are in place to process student financial aid in accordance with federal and state regulations.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Provides guidance and service to students and parents within the parameters of the College admission and retention strategies.
    • Processes financial aid forms; reviewing for completeness and accuracy; verifies information on student aid applications to determine eligibility for awards.
    • Responds to student and parent queries in a timely manner, researching issues and obtaining assistance from other staff as necessary.
    • Provide financial aid counseling for current and prospective students and their families.
    • Responsible for running various financial aid processes on a daily/weekly basis.
    • Packaging of graduate students.
    • Processing of Graduate Assistantship Tuition Waivers.
    • Participate in Admissions and community presentations as needed.
    • Supervision of work study students
    • Other duties as assigned by Director of Financial Aid

    The estimated wage is $24.35 per hour for 37.5 hours per week for 52 weeks.


    Job Requirements:

    • This is an entry level, professional position. We are willing to train a motivated candidate. No experience is necessary.
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • Ability to work effectively within an ethically, culturally, and socially diverse student population.
    • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, faculty, and the public in a courteous manner.
    • Self-motivated and ability to work individually or as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational and management skills.
    • Datatel/Colleague experience preferred and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
