Role
Responsible for all aspects of the facilities at Spero Financial. Leads the Facilities Department and develops its employees, while ensuring that all Spero Financials' building systems and equipment are functioning properly and are maintained in excellent condition. Maintains the physical security program for the entire organization. Collaborates with other leaders in the Credit Union to resolve facility-related issues and to work on facility-related projects. Proactively manages the relationships for all facility vendors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees all aspects of Spero Financials' facility operations. Accountable for the maintenance and appearance of all locations which includes outside appearance and overall neatness. Responsible for placing work orders for repairs and for making recommendations regarding replacements. Manages construction/renovation projects for Spero Financial. Manages all facility-related vendor relationships and contracts. Liaison between Spero Financial and property management contractor for leased properties. Coordinates and manages relocations of offices and workspaces; manages off-site storage
- Responsible for overseeing the physical security program at Spero Financial. Ensures that the Credit Union has security policies, procedures and processes in place that are appropriate for the size, complexity, and risk appetite of the organization. Ensures that all physical security and surveillance equipment is sufficient and working as intended. Will address any security-related vulnerabilities in a timely manner. Responds to emergencies and alarms as appropriate to the situation.
- Responsible for leading the Facilities Department employees. Regularly schedules department meetings and individual meetings on a consistent basis. Responsible for encouraging the professional growth and development for all employees within the Facilities Department.
- Assists the VP of Risk with managing the Business Continuity Plan / Disaster Recovery Program for the Credit Union. Will act as a point of contact for all facility-related concerns during a disaster event.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience: Five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses: State approved drivers license is required.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
Physical Requirements: Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Occasional travel required.
Working Conditions: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise, as well as outside in various degrees of heat and cold.
