We're seeking a talented Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our growing team at PetFriendly. In this role, you'll leverage your experience in private equity or venture capital analysis, specifically within the CPG or e-commerce industry, to drive actionable insights for teams across the organization. You'll collaborate closely with various departments to support our mission of becoming the leading direct-to-consumer pet wellness subscription company. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to optimizing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in financial statements, and enhancing the overall financial health of the company.
YOU’RE A SOLID FIT FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU...
• Possess a strong finance education background and accounting knowledge
• Have experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of e-commerce, DTC, and selling physical goods to customers
• Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
OUR IDEA OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE IS SOMEONE WHO...
• Has experience as a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst in either private equity or venture capital, preferably with portfolio companies in CPG or e-commerce
• Is familiar with financial and accounting software systems
• Has proficiency in SQL and either Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar (preferred)
• Can demonstrate a track record of supporting and driving financial strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Balances strategic thinking with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Is precise in preparing reports for senior management and board of directors
WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR...
• Accurately reporting financial information in a timely manner to senior management and other stakeholders
• Analyzing financial data and creating financial models to support business decisions
• Collaborating with other departments to support budget management and cost control initiatives
• Preparing and presenting precise financial reports, including weekly, monthly and annual financial statements, to company leadership
• Ensuring adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Identifying and recommending opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in financial operations
