Accounting Assistant

Location: Chicopee, MA
Compensation: $21-23.50/hour

CFS has partnered with a local distribution company in Chicopee, MA. They are looking to hire an Accounting Assistant!

• This is an entry level position. Growth opportunities are available within the first 6MO - 1Yr

About the Opportunity:

• This role is open due to an upcoming retirement. He has been in this seat for 13 years
  • You will have the opportunity to train with him before his departure in May
• Overtime Opportunity for those interested
• Flexible hours in the AM and PM - Typical start time is between 8-9:30
• This position will report to the controller
• Everyone in the office is cross trained, and very supportive!

Tasks of the Accounting Assistant:

• The Accounting Assistant will be hands on with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Process a 3-Way match for AP (Invoice, packing slip and receiver)
• Take orders over the phone
• Data Entry
• Expense reporting
• Light administrative duties

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Assistant:

• The Accounting Assistant should be able to multitask and work in a high volume, fast pace environment
• Exposure to excel including spreadsheets and basic formulas would be helpful
• The Accounting Assistant does not need to have an Accounting degree, but any office or data entry skills will be beneficial to ramp up quickly
