Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a rapidly growing global health and fitness company to identify a Controller to join their growing finance team.
This newly created position will report directly to the CFO, and will be responsible for maintaining and reporting the Company’s P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow, developing the finance team to ensure effective financial operations, and to support a high performing company delivering sustainable, profitable growth. The Controller will partner and collaborate with the business leaders and their teams to identify opportunities to accelerate cash flow, optimize the cost base and drive process efficiency and effectiveness.Responsibilities of the Controller:
- Inspire and lead a growing team of 5 finance professionals.
- Oversee all financial, statutory and tax matters including functional responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and fixed assets.
- Prepare the financial statements and consolidation for the multiple entities that comprise the group.
- Review monthly financial performance of all entities, understand key drivers, recommend corrective actions and identify opportunities to enhance future performance.
- Partner with our CFO to create and evolve the multi-year capital allocation strategy, architect a robust annual plan and develop a rolling 4 quarter forecast.
- Work with the external CPA advisor to develop and manage tax strategy, year-end preparation, and chair the quarterly financial review.
- Build effective relationships that reflect and support the Company’s core values and strive to exceed expectations on a day-to-day basis.
- Proactive management of multi-currency cash balances including the development and bi-weekly update of a rolling 13 week rolling cash flow forecast.
- Identify opportunities to standardize and streamline the month, quarter and year end processes.
- Design, implement, drive adoption and monitor the effectiveness of enhanced internal controls.
Qualifications for the Controller role:
- A licensed CPA with a minimum of ten years’ of relevant experience, credentials and skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related disciplines.
- At least five years of recent manufacturing and / or supply chain industry experience working as a Controller.
- Strong ERP software application and advanced Excel skills.
