Financial Planning and Analysis Director leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis of the financial team. Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. Being a Financial Planning and Analysis Director reviews analysis results, develops insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and leads strategic business decisions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Financial Planning and Analysis Director typically reports to top management or CFO. The Financial Planning and Analysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Description Summary

    Responsible for the leading the Americas central FP&A function and the FP&A COE. Partner with business to drive value creation. Responsible for development of the annual company budget across all regions and service lines. Responsible for producing and analyzing financial data for the business, including variance analysis to budget and prior year. Assist in various ad hoc financial analysis, financial systems and process improvements, and special projects. Acts with sense of urgency and accountability in fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Leadership over Americas FP&A processes including reporting, planning and forecasting.
    • Lead development of annual budget (AOP) and long-range plan (LRP) including partnering with region and service line finance teams.
    • Lead development of monthly and mid-year forecasting.
    • Identification, production, and analysis of key financial metrics (KPI’s).
    • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes.
    • Prepare monthly Management reporting packs and be prepared to speak to leaders about key risks, opportunities and business drivers.
    • Analyze costs, understanding variances against forecast, budget and prior year; a strong candidate will understand how to research and describe variances to various levels of management, and will constantly evaluate ROI of spend and challenging the business as needed.
    • Provide forward-looking business support to Business Leadership to help evaluate key strategic decisions for responsible areas, including pricing support and business case analysis.
    • Proactively engage and build strong relationships with business teams to stay connected on strategies and initiatives.
    • Lead, coach and develop the COE team, providing day to day leadership.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 8 years of related professional work experience
    • Preference for CPA (active or inactive status) and/or MBA
    • Experience working in FP&A in a complex business with good exposure to executive leadership
    • Experience with forecasting and budgeting, financial modeling
    • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes
    • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic
    • Results oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both individually and as a team
    • Strong familiarity and use of Excel and PowerPoint is required
    • Prefer Commercial Real Estate industry experience
    • Experience with Hyperion Essbase Planning and Workday preferred
