Accountant

Accountant will be part of the Accounting Team at Hunter International. This position requires a very organized, detailed-oriented individual who is comfortable with maintaining a prioritized weekly routine. This role will also get exposure to all aspects of running a multi-state, staffing business.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports
• Prepare and post cash receipts
• Compile workers’ compensation audits
• Prepare sales tax filings
• Enter new hires into Paylocity software
• Prepare state notices as required
• Record payroll adjustments and garnishments
• Handle payroll and benefit questions
• Track client bonuses and holiday pay
• Download payroll file into Quickbooks
• Resolve payroll tax discrepancies
• Monitor sick pay accruals
• Process terminations

Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• Microsoft Office suite program experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables
• Report Writer capabilities
• Strong detail orientation and quality focus
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical capabilities
• Strong project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize workload on multiple projects & events simultaneously
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet business deadlines
• Accept changes with short notice and tolerate frequent interruptions
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
• Ability to work cooperatively with other employees, vendors, and clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,059.00 - $64,010.00 per year
