Acadian Companies has an immediate opening for a Financial Reporting and Budget Analyst. The Financial Reporting and Budget Analyst will report to the Vice President - Controller and assume a strategic role in the preparation, analysis and financial reporting of operating results, forecasts, annual budgets, long range plans, projections, annual statements, benefit plan reporting, cash flow projections, bank compliance, and more. This position will work with Corporate and Divisional leadership, department managers, administrators, and others to ensure accurate reporting and analysis in support of decision making that drives value.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate reporting by assisting with the month-end closing process and preparation of reports for executive management and the Board of Directors
- Lead the development and execution of financial planning processes (budget, forecast and multi-year)
- Participate in the evaluation, due diligence and integration of acquisition targets including the analysis of target’s financial statements and operating data and the preparation of proforma statements and schedules.
- Present, with in depth knowledge, various work products and deliverables to key decision-makers, including Executive and Division Leadership, etc.
- Prepare year-end annual reports and schedules in support of the annual audit process for the Corporate financial statements and benefit plan statements.
- Support all levels of Management with ad hoc financial analysis, including assistance with analysis of budget improvements.
- Collaborate with Management to set achievable organizational goals and strategic initiatives through use of comprehensive financial planning.
- Participate in a variety of special projects to assist Management in the financial administration of the Company.
- Troubleshoots complex problems with various areas of Finance including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Revenue Billing.
- Become proficient with the Company’s managerial and financial reporting systems and keep abreast of healthcare trends and market development as context for analysis.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- BS in Accounting (preferred) or Finance
- CPA or MBA desirable
- Prior experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressing responsibility in an accounting/finance department or firm.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- PC proficiency is essential and strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
