Sentry Management is seeking a Financial Reporting Bookkeeper to join our busy Home Office Team. This position can be Remote or in Office. Applicant should have basic knowledge of accounting principles including but not limited to:
Responsibilities
· Debits and credits
· Prepare and enter general ledger journal entries, ensuring proper coding, and appropriate accruals are in place
· Verify entries posted by corresponding departments
· Ensure all entries are done in accordance with GAAP and AICPA standards
· Prepare a minimum of 70-75 financial statements monthly per time mandated schedules
· Adhere to internal controls Core Values, Company Promises, and Service Level Commitments
· Adhere to policies and procedures as they relate to financial activities
· Key/Approve annual budgets prepared by Community Managers
· Collaborate and communicate with Community Managers regarding financial statements
· Perform other tasks at the direction of leadership
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
· Excellent written and oral skills required
· Proficient in Microsoft office software including word, excel, Teams, and outlook
· Strong analytical skills; detail oriented
· Must be a self-starter, organized, and have the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Exhibit high energy and a positive attitude with the ability to collaborate well with internal and external customers
· Adaptable to change
