Financial Reporting Supervisor jobs in Somerset, NJ

Kennedys, a growing global law firm, is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant in our Basking Ridge, New Jersey office. The analyst will work alongside the Senior Financial Analyst to prepare monthly reports, track the performance, budget for matter file and other ad-hoc analysis. The ideal candidate will be a goal-orientated, self-motivated multitasker with a flexible attitude towards working practices and the ability to adapt style as required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis, planning and forecasting which may include consolidation of financial data from various sources, analyzing current and past financial & revenue cycle data & performance
• Assist with financial data reporting, budget preparation and financial planning processes, and budget review for compliance and opportunities
• Utilize excel on daily basis to manipulate large data sets and create various reports
• Conduct data analysis on existing engagements to help drive understanding of matter/client realization
• Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made
• Ensure the accuracy of information and ensure it is published in a timely manner
• Assist with projects that arise within the department and the wider firm

Required experience

• 2 years of financial analysis experience preferred*
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including proficiency creating and utilizing Pivot Tables
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys and firm professional staff of all levels
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing, fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Elite 3E preferred
