General Summary:
Performs a variety of accounting activities such as account payables and receivables, journal entries, and financial reporting. Maintains various files and spreadsheets including the general ledger and prepares accounting reports for month-end closing and audit purposes. Collaborates with other departments to trouble shoot and resolve issues.
Essential Job Functions:
• Maintains account payables and receivables and prepares associated reports.
• Performs audits, reconciles expenses, and prepares accurate month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing reports.
• Leads collaboration with other departments on payroll, employee benefits, donor, fundraising, grant, and contract activities to provide accounting support; such as account balances, funding disbursement, expenditure details, etc.
• Reviews accounting documents for accuracy and compliance and ensures the required documentation and approval is provided.
• Supports internal and external audits and prepares audit documentation.
• Assists with research, analyses, and other projects or reporting as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
Requirements
Education:
• Required: Vocational School or Technical Training
Experience:
• Required: 1-3 years
