Ware-Butler Building Supply, a leader in our industry and dedicated to exceeding our customers' expectations in service and product, is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to assist the Store Manager in leading our team and oversee the daily operations of our building supply store. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for the building supply industry.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the department’s objectives, leading a team, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and implementing departmental strategies.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team to achieve departmental goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
• Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to optimize productivity.
• Under the guidance of the Store Manager, address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the team or with other departments.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive and efficient cross-functional operations.
• Provide training and support to new team members and facilitate ongoing development.
• With oversight by the Store Manager, ensure availability of inventory merchandise and services by maintaining stock in partnership with the purchasing team.
• Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Manage the store by walking the floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers to identify or resolve urgent issues.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
