• Responsible for repossessions and remarketing of collateral and the distribution of sales proceeds.
• Oversee the Credit Union's bankruptcy portfolio to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Correspond with debtors and debtors’ counsel in a polite and professional manner.
• Prepare and file Proofs of Claims, Reaffirmation Agreements, and other bankruptcy court documents.
• Coordinate with external counsel regarding the filing of various bankruptcy court motions.
• Work out and negotiate payment plans with members when necessary.
• Review summons, complaints, affidavits, judgments, summary judgments, and other legal documents for accuracy.
• Coordinate with external counsel regarding the filing of lawsuits, foreclosures and other legal proceedings, settlements, and judgment execution strategies.
• Prepare reports related to repossession, delinquency, bankruptcy, and foreclosure.
• Perform searches to locate assets for judgment execution.
• Obtain supporting documentation for the evaluation of delinquent accounts for modification review, short sale and deed-in-lieu in of foreclosure.
• Oversee credit reporting of charged off loans to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare reports of active cases in litigation and settlement activity.
• Prepare reports related to repossession, bankruptcy and or foreclosure.
• Responsible for handling of vendor management and due diligence initially and annually.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 4 years’ experience with consumer credit and collections
• Maintain key performance metrics at required levels.
• Maintain delinquency and repossessions at prescribed levels.
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines with excellent follow through skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and other reporting systems.
• Knowledge and understanding of summons, complaints, affidavits, judgments, summary judgments, and other legal documents.
• Must possess a detailed understanding of bankruptcy, foreclosure and repossession laws.
• Ability to “think outside the box” and devise creative resolutions for settling accounts.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency
