Modifies system menus, edits spreadsheets and reports, and troubleshoots system problems. Being a Financial Systems Analyst imports files to and exports files from financial databases. Generates reports and conducts analyses on financial systems data. Additionally, Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with internal teams to determine primary needs and goals and creates solutions to meet those objectives. Trains staff on the use of financial systems and acts as a liaison to the information technology department. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Financial Systems Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Role Summary/Purpose:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Business Analyst. As a key member of GRC Risk Management Systems team, you will play a critical role in the understanding and driving organization's risk management goals. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to build a career in the financial industry while contributing to the organization's data-driven decision-making processes.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Advocate for use of the GRC technology platform as the optimal tool for risk and governance program activities and system of record

    • Identify process improvement, user experience, design, and technical systems and architecture opportunities to support risk and governance programs

    • Maintain a well-groomed backlog, participate in Agile rituals and be the voice of the business for GRC

    • Support build and prioritized sequence of the backlog to drive defined product roadmap by partnering and collaborating with stakeholders on defining and documenting requirements

    • Support the day-to-day management and operation of Synchrony’s GRC Risk technology platform, as required

    • Work with IT and business teams, as required

    • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree OR in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 5 years of Project Management experience

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Ability to lead and manage projects to completion, especially managing multiple projects simultaneously

    • Problem solver with ability to promote collaborative problem solving

    • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    • Experience in the Risk/Banking/Credit Card industry

    • Track record of creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a cross-functional and virtual environment

    • High energy, self-motivated, with strong communication skills (verbal and written)

    • Experience with Agile software development framework

    • Experience working in a dynamic environment

    • Experience working with a global team

    The salary range for this position is 60,000.00 - 112,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                                                                                    

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • You must be 18 years or older

    • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
