Financial Systems Analyst jobs in Springfield, MO

Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for daily accounting, bank, and other financial reconciliations, as well as processing electronic banking transactions. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will assist the CFO in providing all other departments and management with timely and accurate data (financial and other) to help the organization achieve its short-term and long-term goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general bookkeeping and other related duties in the accounting department.
• Reconciles intercompany accounts.
• Assists with customer electronic payment processing.
• Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
• Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
• Develops financial plans and reports for management and leadership.
• Assists with filing required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Highly proficient with accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, required. Equivalent years of experience will be considered in lieu or degree.
• At least three years of finance/accounting experience, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
