Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plans and establishes work schedules, and assignments to meet production goals.
2. Hires, trains, and evaluates production personnel.
3. Prepares and maintains production reports and personnel records.
4. Monitors production tracking and quality control systems.
5. Reviews operations and confers with administrative staff to resolve procedural problems.
6. Trains and develops supervisors.
7. Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices
8. Regular attendance and punctuality is required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.
Job Specifications
1. 5-10 years manufacturing experience in the food industry is required.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Some college is preferred.
3. Basic PC skills are required.
4. Proficient in word processing and spreadsheets.
5. English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
Working Conditions
1. Food manufacturing plant.
2. The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.
3. Lifting, kneeling, and bending with packages in excess of 50 lbs.
4. Travel up to 10% of the time.
5. Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
This position is eligible for a bonus based on company goals/performance.
