Fire Inspector jobs in Maryland

Fire Inspector conducts inspections of new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with fire and safety codes. Prepares reports and issues violation documents and defines remedies. Being a Fire Inspector conducts fire investigations. Knowledge of codes and ordinances, construction and alarm systems. Additionally, Fire Inspector has completed fire inspection training and may require certification as Uniform Fire Code Inspector and /or other local licensing. Typically requires associate degree. The Fire Inspector has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
