Fitness Instructor coordinates all fitness programs for a facility. Organizes and instructs exercise classes for all fitness levels. Being a Fitness Instructor ensures that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility's exercise equipment. Responsible for making sure that the exercise area and equipment are safe and clean. Additionally, Fitness Instructor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Fitness Instructor typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and certified Group Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will lead energetic and engaging group fitness classes for our diverse clientele. You will motivate and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals while ensuring a safe and enjoyable workout experience.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct high-energy group fitness classes in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide modifications as needed to accommodate varying fitness levels.
- Motivate and inspire participants to reach their fitness goals through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
- Create a fun and inclusive atmosphere that fosters a sense of community among participants.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring exercise intensity, providing proper cues, and offering assistance when necessary.
- Stay current on industry trends and continuously develop new and innovative class formats to keep classes fresh and exciting.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting participants, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with class registration, check-in, and equipment setup as needed.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Fitness Instructor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology
- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate exercise techniques
- Experience in sports coaching or personal training is a plus
