    SUMMARY:

    Executes the organization's policies and procedures related to capital expenditures. Performs an accurate and timely close and executes all transactions in accordance with GAAP and accounting standards (PP&E Policy). This position will have regular interaction with other departments and resources throughout the Company.  

     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to the following (other duties may be assigned):

    • Performing all maintenance activities such as capitalizations, retirements, transfers, sale of assets and asset adjustments
    • Take care of supplies, saintenance and repair and fixtures capital cost review and manual capitalizations
    • Perform end to end accounting and reporting (PP&E Roll-Forwards) activities for fixed assets.
    • Prepare journal entries on a period basis according to established schedule.
    • Prepare account reconciliations and resolve any reconciling items in a timely manner.
    • Prepare and maintain schedules and supporting documentation needed for management, internal and external reporting, internal and external auditors, and SOX requirements.
    • Publishing month end dash boards and process metrics to the management.
    • Assist with quarterly reviews/year-end audits with internal, external and regulatory auditors.
    • Coordinate work with off-shore resources.
    • Provide recommendations for process and technology improvements

    • Understanding of GAAP accounting with a strong focus on capitalization, depreciation, and operating expenses.
    • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP skills.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, conflict solving and communication skills.
    • Extraordinary interpersonal skills to work in conjunction with other departments, vendors and internal and external customers.
    • Must be a team player who also works well independently.
    • Must be able to analyze data, draw conclusions, interpret results, and make recommendations with respect to incentive calculations.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in both an oral and written manner to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Commerce degree or MBA Finance from reputed college or university.
    • 3-7 years related experience; or
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
