Senior Income Tax Analyst
The West Fraser US Headquarters (Germantown, Tennessee) is in search of a highly motivated income tax professional to become part of a growing and engaged finance team. This position provides an opportunity to take ownership of the income tax profile for the US operations and will provide a wide array of projects engaging in technical application and process improvement.
We are looking for a person with professional curiosity, an affinity for creative problem-solving, and strong cross-function collaboration. The goals for this position will be to utilize your technical and technological background to execute at a high level on the income tax provision, compliance, and various planning opportunities while working in conjunction with the US Tax Manager. We are looking for someone who can understand and build upon tax accounting methodologies, coordinate compliance efforts with our third-party tax preparer, and be effective in identifying tax-saving opportunities. This position may require travel as you would help with operations-based tax incentive work such as research and development tax credits or visit our corporate office in Vancouver.
This position will be primarily focused on US income tax, though this is a Canadian-based global operation that may have you working with our Canadian tax team on occasion. Flexibility to engage in other areas of the business such as indirect tax or within the finance function in lending those analytical and technological skills will bring additional value to the role.
