Western Building Center Corporate Distribution Yard in Columbia Falls is seeking a hardworking person who takes pride in a job well done. This full-time lumberyard assistant position will give you the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Feeling strong? Applicants must be able to lift items weighing eighty pounds. Forklift experience is recommended but not required. Materials and equipment training will be provided.
PURPOSE
Perform duties pertaining to lumberyard maintenance and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assembly of lumber packages to fill customer orders
· Maintain and organize inventory in lumberyard and associated warehouse
· Assist customers with loading building materials in all weather conditions
· Unload freight from vendors and distributors
· Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
· Maintain logs of equipment repair status
· Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
· Other duties may be assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
