Fixture Builder jobs in Waterbury, CT
The Fixture Builder ensures jigs function appropriately with complex angles or contours. Assembles a variety of standard and non-standard major jigs, fixtures and related tooling. Being a Fixture Builder designs and creates jig and fixture details and holding devices. Responsible for determining methods and sequence of operations and scheduling work to be performed from tool design drawings. In addition, Fixture Builder may be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Requires a high school diploma in a related area with certification in the field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Working as a Fixture Builder typically requires 3-5 years of related experience. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. We are currently have a full time opening and are looking to hire an experienced Machine Builder / Technician. This individual will be part of the Assembly Department and the work will be mainly involve assembly of new machines and also perform mechanical repairs on and refurbish used equipment.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to :
o Be able to identify worn components
o Locate replacement parts
