Position Summary
The Logistics Assistant will support the Logistics Supervisor in various tasks related to warehouse management, inventory, fleet management, facilities/grounds maintenance, and purchasing processes. This role involves assisting in the day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate records, and contributing to the efficiency of logistics functions.
Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records
Support fleet management activities, including tracking vehicle usage and maintenance schedules
Collaborate with the Finance team on purchasing processes
Assist in coordinating facility and grounds maintenance tasks
Provide administrative support to the Logistics Supervisor
Contribute to the improvement of internal controls and processes
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for Senior Staff
Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a logistics or administrative role is desirable
Basic understanding of warehouse and inventory management
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
