Flight Attendant attends to airplane passengers to ensure their safety while on the aircraft. Serves beverages and food and keeps the cabin clean for passengers' comfort. Being a Flight Attendant maintains supplies on the plane. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Additionally, Flight Attendant typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Flight Attendant works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
- Perform all work activities in accordance with established standards, policies, laws, and regulations, including Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
- Respond effectively during emergency situations. Provide emergency medical assistance (e.g., performing CPR and basic first aid) to assist individuals in distress.
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Receive and process payments for purchased service items, such as snacks.
Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of customer service experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Possess and maintain a valid passport and equivalent travel documents to freely enter and exit all destinations
- Ability to report to work at your assigned base within two (2) hours (2.5 hours for NYC bases).
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- BA/BS college degree preferred or a combination of education and related experience.
- Must be reliable and available to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays
