Flight Inspector (Jet) inspects aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure safe flying and conformance to specifications and government regulations and procedures. Oversees part installation and inspects adjustments or modifications to existing parts. Being a Flight Inspector (Jet) performs preflight and post flight inspections identifying any breach of standards for safe flight. Requires a high school diploma, a flight inspector license. Additionally, Flight Inspector (Jet) typically reports to the Chief Flight Inspector. The Flight Inspector (Jet) independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent; Able to read and understand all relevant technical data such as Operation Sheets, Travelers, Manufacturers Engine Manuals / related publications and EASA/FAA requirements/regulations. This individual must also have the knowledge to operate all pertinent computer software, tools, etc. Strong interpersonal, technical and organizational skills are required.
Preferred Skills
Prior aerospace inspection is preferred; use of borescope, cmm, and other measurement tools is helpful.
Physical Requirements
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
