Float Analyst collects and analyzes information regarding float activities within an organization. Recommends necessary process changes to speed check processing and reduce float time. Being a Float Analyst requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Float Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Pay Range: $48.95 - $62.01 per hour, based on credentials and experience.
This is a Float Position.
Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Experience: Demonstrates basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Knowledge of appropriate technology and practice standards for area of responsibility. Demonstrates sound clinical skills, understanding of the acute care process, standards of practice and positive communication skills.
Licensure, Registration or Certification: New York State Registered Nurse license required, or permit; current BLS. Staff that are assigned to work in the Emergency Department must complete Non-violent Crisis Intervention training on a bi-annual basis.
All RNs working on a Telemetry Unit must complete a basic Dysrhythmia course and competency. All RNs working on a Telemetry Unit must complete ACLS within 6 months of hire.
