Float Manager manages and leads a group of float analysts. Oversees information regarding float activities within an organization. Being a Float Manager designs and implements necessary process changes to speed check processing and reduce float time. Stays abreast of laws enacted by the Federal Reserve to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans accordingly. Additionally, Float Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Float Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Float Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics-Iowa River Landing is seeking a highly motivated Staff Nurses (RN) that will have the opportunity to work in various diverse clinical areas throughout the building. Our float pool nurses will have an opportunity to work in areas based on their expertise, experience, and preferences. These areas include Procedure/Infusion/CT, Surgical Specialty Clinics and Medicine Specialty Clinics.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Percent of Time: 60-100% (24-40 hours/week)
Schedule: Open to shift/hours discussion start time will be at or after 8:00am
Location: Iowa River Landing
Salary: $36,000 minimum at 60% effort to commensurate. Salary will vary based on years of experience and percent of effort.*
