Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. WHAT OUR EMPLOYEES DO:- Under direct supervision, perform one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly or sub-assembly line to produce building material components.
- Assemble building material components such as wall panels and/or roof and floor trusses.
- Utilize both hand and power tools to insert and/or position materials, clamp, splice, and fit parts together during the assembly process.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and layouts to complete assembly or subassembly of building material components.
- Other duties include picking lumber, stacking trusses, and floating amongst various warehouse duties to maximize production.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work rotating shifts on Saturdays as needed
- Experience in construction, landscaping, assembly, general laboring or a related industry
- Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of and ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings
- Ability to provide your own framing hammer and steel toe shoes
- Ability to work with direct exposure to the elements and all weather conditions
