Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Summary
We are looking for a part time Floor Assembler / Production Floater at STI. Floor Assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. Their focus is on larger scale, high volume product builds. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements. This role will also including floating between different sub departments (injection mold, pad print, etc).
Responsibilities- Assemble products per order in an assembly line fashion to prepare goods for shipment
- Test and verify product tolerances and specifications
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Assist in other sub departments when needed.
Requirements- Works well as an individual and as a team
- Able to stand for long periods of time while completing repetitive processes
- Proficient with basic hand tools
Excellent attendance and positive attitude - Works well in fast-paced environment
- Some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
- Some basic computer knowledge
- Comfortable working in a shop environment where heavy machinery is in use and loud noises are frequent
- Schedule: 12pm-4pm
