A leading commercial printing company, is seeking a skilled Folder Operator to join our production team. The Folder Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating folding machines to ensure that printed materials are folded according to customer specifications. This role requires a detail-oriented and efficient individual who can manage multiple tasks and maintain a high standard of quality in a fast-paced printing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, and operate automatic folding machines to fold printed materials, including brochures, pamphlets, and booklets.
• Ensure that folding machines are properly set up for each job, adjusting settings such as paper size, folding patterns, and speeds.
• Monitor the folding process, checking the accuracy and quality of each fold to meet customer specifications.
• Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring precise folds and correct alignment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or adjustments during production to maintain quality and minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on folding equipment to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet job deadlines and achieve production targets.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production volumes, and maintenance logs.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Folder Operator or in a similar role in the commercial printing industry.
• Skills: Proficient in operating and adjusting automatic folding machines; knowledge of various fold types and paper handling techniques.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and consistency to ensure high-quality folded materials.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve machine or production issues quickly and effectively.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others in a team environment.
• Safety-Conscious: Knowledge of workplace safety practices and the ability to follow safety guidelines in a production setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with various types of folding machines (e.g., knife folders, buckle folders).
• Knowledge of other finishing processes such as cutting, binding, or stitching.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
