MACHINIST ASSISTANT – SAW OPERATOR

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

This position assists in producing short run parts for packaging machinery. The Machinist Assistant is responsible for operating a band saw, abrasive saw, table saw and radial saw safely and accurately. Additional responsibilities include using sanders, routers, planers, drill presses and other machine tools. Measuring tools such as MIC's, Calipers and Gages are also required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The ideal candidate needs to have at least 1 year of experience in the following:

*Reading tables and charts.

*Using Micrometers, Calipers, and other common measuring tools.

*Running a variety of Saws, Routers, Planers, Sanders, and other common fabrication equipment.

*The ability to regularly lift, up to 50 lbs.

This is an entry level position with potential for advancement.

COMPENSATION

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a starting wage of $20.00 - $21.00 per hour. Benefits include Company paid employee Medical, Dental and Life Insurance, 401(k), Potential for annual profit-sharing bonus.

Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
